tourist destination: the Point Pleasant
boardwalk. This area has fun activities for everyone. For people of all ages who want
nonstop action, check out Jenkinson's Pavilion and Martell's Tiki Bar. In the
warmer months, the Tiki Bar is an open air restaurant, bar, and live
entertainment venue. It sits on a long pier that has unobstructed views of the
beach and ocean. Music ranges from contemporary to reggae. This place is open
from early afternoon until late at night and features an awesome variety of food
and drinks. The Pina Coladas are superb! Jenkinson's also has great food and
drinks, including a raw seafood bar. The night club is more for the younger
crowd with a DJ or live bands. Jenkinson's also sits right on the beach with

dating hotspot for couples that enjoy dancing to club music or watching live
bands. The Boardwalk provides the opportunity for a romantic moonlit walk
after dining and dancing and it's long enough so that you and your date can get
away from the crowds that generally congregate around the main attractions.
A great place to go to get back to nature is Lambertville, an artsy little
town along the Delaware River. It features antiques stores, art galleries, the
Raritan/ Delaware tow path (a walking and biking trail), and fine cuisine. Every
spot in this
town is within walking distance and right across the river from New Hope,
Pennsylvania, another artistic town. You can actually walk over the bridge to
get to New Hope-that is if your date likes walking! Great places to dine include the Lambertville Station and
particularly Lilies on the Canal, which serves very hip concoctions. Sample some
great local beers at the Riverhorse Brewery. Or you can enjoy some spirits on
the veranda at Left Bank Libations, part of the Inn at Lambertville.
If you have a hankering for a slower-paced
seaside trip, try visiting Cape May. There are various things to do on a day
trip, including shopping, strolling the sand, visiting the Cape May Lighthouse,
and catching a whale-watching boat ride. In the summer, the beach can't be beat!
Get some fresh seafood from one of the many restaurants. Around Halloween, a
great haunted walking tour is available through the “Boo-tique”, a seasonal
shop. Visit a dozen places where hauntings have been cited, including the famous
Maycomber Hotel.
Some An exciting trip you and your date can plan is to Hoboken, right across
from Manhattan. You can go by train or car (there's ample parking in a couple of
roomy parking garages.) Lots of restaurants/bars have outdoor sidewalk seating
during the warmer months. A great place to catch some Mexican food is the
restaurant East L.A. Sangria abounds! There is also a wide variety of night life
at the many clubs and bars, since this is a college town. Stevens Technical
Institute, located right in the heart of Hoboken, has a beautiful campus with a
bird's-eye view of the Manhattan skyline.
As you can see, New Jersey has a multitude of hot spots for dating. Whether
you enjoy fast-paced night life or a casual walk by the Delaware River, New
